About Us

There is a place for everyone at New Hope! The worship services are scheduled for 8:45 A.M. and 10:55 A.M. The reverent atmospheres in both services, though different, seek to honor the majesty and holiness of God. Every worshipper is encouraged to participate!

The early service is called Celebration…in a casual style, the service is filled with contemporary, praise music. The 10:55 A.M. service is more traditional; in a familiar style, the music is congregational hymns and choral anthems. Both services feature Bible-based sermons that call for a faith response of Christian discipleship. Bible study groups convene at 9:45 A.M. for preschoolers, children, youth, and adults. A nursery is provided for infants during both worship services and Sunday School.

We are conveniently located near Captial Blvd in North Raleigh at 4301 Louisburg Road. Come, worship, study, and fellowship at New Hope this Sunday!

Our Identity Statement

New Hope Baptist Church, a New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ, is a free and autonomous body not controlled by any other entity. However, there are relationships and affiliations beyond the individual congregation. This is based on the belief that we may voluntarily identify with others in order to share the gospel. This broader experience among Baptists includes such organizations as the Raleigh Baptist Association, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, the Southern Baptist Convention, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and the Baptist World Alliance.

There are issues in Baptist life that are important and of concern to many people. However, they should not take priority over the historically established mission of New Hope Baptist Church. We are a body of baptized believers, men and women and boys and girls, associated with each other by a covenant of Christian faith and fellowship. This covenant is experienced in the following ways: we worship God in Spirit and truth regularly on the Lord’s Day; we are committed to the Bible as the inspired Word of God; we observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, we seek to follow the teachings of Christ, to exercise spiritual gifts, to respect a person’s free will, to practice stewardship, and to give witness to the good news of God’s salvation.

As Christians, we believe that we should strive to love one another in the same way Christ loved us. We take seriously His command: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34-35) We believe that this command is not optional but binding and that observing this command is the best way of sharing the gospel in the church fellowship, in the community, and ultimately around the world. In faithfully keeping this command, New Hope Baptist Church moves beyond dissension to ministry.

The mission of New Hope Baptist Church, empowered by the love of God through the life of Jesus Christ, is to give a positive witness of faith by living, serving, and sharing with the joy of salvation and the assurance of eternal life. We believe we should support cooperatively those organizations that best enable us to fulfill our mission as a church. These include ministries that are missionary, educational, or benevolent in purpose so as to extend Christ’s Kingdom in a spirit of unity. We believe Jesus prayed for spiritual unity when he said, “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (John 17:23)

We live in hope that the Spirit of Christ in us and in all other Christian bodies will so inspire us that barriers will be removed and His will for us, individually and as a church, can be accomplished. We continue to seek His will and acknowledge that we are Christians first and Baptists second. As resources and personnel among Baptists are available and can give assistance to New Hope in the nature and spirit of our identity as a church, we will respond with mutual support. Our identity is best described in Matthew 28:18-20 and Philippians 2:1-11.
